At the intersection of contemporary sculpture, glass art, and kintsugi, Myriam Greff’s geode sculptures reveal inner landscapes of color, light, and crystalline depth. Each one-of-a-kind artwork begins with a transformation of matter: a ceramic vessel may be opened to reveal a hand-built tinted-glass geode, while other pieces are conceived entirely in glass.

Rather than displaying natural mineral specimens, this collection reinterprets the geode as a sculptural form. The cavity becomes a luminous interior—a hidden presence revealed through fracture, opening, or deliberate construction. In selected works, traditional Japanese kintsugi extends the composition through urushi lacquer and pure 24k gold, emphasizing the path of the break instead of concealing it.
