Unique work, 2026
Standing 70 cm high, Inner Fault brings the restraint of a monumental black form into tension with the almost unreal emergence of a fuchsia crystalline cavity.
The opening runs through the work like a revelation. What might suggest a loss of material becomes a space of emergence—a source of colour and light. The dark surface acts as a silent outer shell, while the geode appears to rise from within the work itself.
Lines of 24-carat gold, applied using the traditional kintsugi technique, do not seek to conceal the fracture. Instead, they extend its movement and structure the composition, creating a dialogue between rupture, continuity and metamorphosis.
Through the contrast between the depth of the black, the radiance of the gold and the intensity of the pink, the work explores what lies beneath appearances: an inner presence that is precious, unstable and alive.
