Phoebus — Églomisé Kintsugi Mirror in 24k and 18k Gold

In the Phoebus series, two shades of gold respond to light: a reflective 24-karat gold background is crossed by a fracture pattern in paler 18-karat gold. Both surfaces reflect their surroundings, revealing subtle changes in tone as the light and viewpoint shift.

Each piece is gilded by hand using the verre églomisé technique. The gold leaf is applied entirely to the reverse of tempered glass, with 24-karat gold forming the background and 18-karat gold defining the fractures. The overlaps, delicate creases and variations of the gold leaf remain visible, preserving the character of the handwork.

Created as both a mirror and an artwork, each Phoebus piece has its own composition.
