This blue glazed terracotta bowl with “hare’s fur” texture was made in France
This is a sugi-nari bowl: its shape is the same as that of traditional wooden bowls.
Cracked but not broken, I restored it using traditional Japanese lacquer, called Urushi, and 24-carat gold. I call this technique Kintsugi Chinkin-bori, which is originally a lacquer incision technique.
You can reuse this bowl to drink your favorite tea, or simply keep it as an object to admire.
It measures 11 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height, and is truly unique.
Myriam’s opinion: The Kintsugi chinkin-bori allows you to acquire an absolutely beautiful bowl, but at a more affordable price.
