The Recovered Soul: Porcelain Bowl Restored with Kintsugi

Discover a piece where fragility has become strength. This glazed porcelain bowl, of classic elegance, immediately captures the eye. Its light blue enamel offers an exceptional mirror-like sheen, capturing and reflecting light with a rare intensity. With its wan nari shape and resting on a small, discreet foot, it boasts the perfect proportions of traditional tea bowls.

Broken by time, it has been resurrected according to the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi. Every fracture is a story, and every scar is now honored and sublimated. I meticulously repaired its broken lines with natural Urushi lacquer, then magnified them with pure 24-karat gold.

This restoration does not hide the past; it celebrates it, making this bowl an embodiment of the Wabi-Sabi philosophy. It is no longer just a bowl; it is an artwork that testifies to the resilience and beauty of imperfection.

With its ideal dimensions (8.5cm in diameter and 4 cm in height), you can choose to give it a second life by savoring your favorite tea, or simply keep it as a unique and precious piece to admire—a statement piece rich in history and exceptional craftsmanship.
