Description

I acquired this very large Chinese vase of the green family dating from the Qing period (1644-1912) at an auction. It had been roughly restored with a lot of plaster and glue that had turned yellow.

After a painstaking de-restoration, I was able to create a traditional kintsugi with 24-carat gold.

The vase measures 47 cm high, making it a very large porcelain!

Myriam’s view: The “thousand faces” decoration features large phalluses, a symbol of fertility.
