This ceramic bowl from Japan is glazed in mat black.
Entirely hand-shaped, it is marked with the potter’s stamp on the foot.
It is a sugi-nari bowl: its shape is the same as that of traditional wooden bowls.
Broken, I restored it using traditional Japanese lacquer, called Urushi, and 24-carat gold.
You can reuse this bowl to drink your favorite tea, or simply keep it as an object of admiration.
It measures 12 cm in diameter and 7.5cm in height, and is truly unique.
