An antique Japanese glazed ceramic bowl, delicately decorated with pink roses and deep cobalt-blue leaves. Ochre geometric borders highlight both the rim and the foot of the bowl.
Its numerous fractures have been restored using the traditional Japanese art of kintsugi, with natural urushi lacquer and pure 24-carat gold powder. The golden lines flow through the floral decoration, creating a new and singular landscape that reveals the object’s history rather than concealing it.
A unique piece, both functional and contemplative, in which fragility becomes a precious testament to the passage of time.
