Description
This superb celadon bowl, 16cm in diameter and 7.5cm high, comes from Vietnam. It dates from the Tran dynasty, which reigned between 1225 and 1400.
This Vietnamese celadon stoneware is decorated on the outside with Lotus petals.
This flower represents spiritual ascension.
Time has not spared it, and it had already undergone a previous restoration which had itself aged badly.
So I took this repair and transformed it into 24-carat gold kintsugi, restoring the beauty and use of this incredible antique!
Myriam’s view: The marriage of lotus flower and kintsugi symbolism makes this a particularly emotional piece.
